Title: THE DATA PACT (Privacy Policy)
The Short Version: We are GenX. We value privacy. We do not track you, we do not sell your data, and we do not use social media pixels to follow you around the internet.
1. No Surveillance Capitalism Unlike most of the web, GenX Unsupervised does not participate in the data economy.
- We do not use Facebook Pixels, Google Analytics tracking, or third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to anyone. Ever.
2. What We Actually Collect We only collect the absolute minimum required to keep the lights on and the door locked:
- Your Account Info: Codename and Email. This is used solely to verify your membership and send you “The Transmission” (our newsletter).
- Payment Data: We do not store your credit card numbers on our servers. All transactions are securely processed by Stripe, who only tell us if the payment passed or failed.
- Cookies: We use “Session Cookies” only. These are strictly functional—they simply tell our site, “Yes, this person is logged in,” so you don’t have to type your password on every single page.
3. The Third Parties (The Guestbook & Radio)
- SmartGuestbook: Our guestbook is hosted by a third party to maintain that vintage aesthetic. When you leave our site to sign the book, their privacy policies apply.
- GXU Radio: Our stream is hosted externally. Listening does not require an account, but standard streaming logs (IP addresses) may be visible to the hosting provider for bandwidth tracking.
4. The Right to be Forgotten If you decide to leave the collective, you can request that we delete your account entirely. We will wipe your data from our records, no questions asked.
